ASUS kini mulai memasarkan produk terbarunya, yakni ASUS X93SV. Laptop ini memiliki layar 18 Inci. Selain itu, laptop ini juga memiliki performa yang sangat mengesankan berkat adanya prosesor Intel generasi kedua, Sandy Bridge.

Para pemilik laptop ini memiliki tiga opsi chip, yakni Core i3-2310M, Core i5-2410M dan Core i7-2670QM. Terdapat Memori DDR3 16 GB yang dapat digunakan untuk menyokong performa prosesor. Juga terdapat VGA card NVidia GeForce GT 540M dengan 96 core CUDA pada kecepatan 1344Mhz dengan memori video sebesar 1GB jenis DDR3. Layar laptop ini juga mampu menampilkan resolusi Full HD.
Yang paling unik dari laptop ini adalah bisa menggunakan Harddisk desktop berukuran 3.5 inci.
Sebagai langkah awal, laptop ini akan dijual di kawasan Eropa dengan harga 1582 USD atau sekitar 11 juta rupiah.

Layar LCD super dari Toshiba ini memiliki kerapatan pixel 498 pixel per inci. Apple menyebut layar iPhone 4nya 326 ppi yang menampilkan “layar retina” karena pada kepadatan itu  mata manusia tidak bisa benar-benar melihat sel piksel. Dengan kata lain, layar baru Toshiba mungkin  lebih tajam daripada yang kita perlukan.

StatCounter sudah mengeluarkan gambaran tentang grafik perkembangan sistem operasi perangkat bergerak selama tahun 2011. StatCounter menghitung grafik perkembangan sistem operasi mobile ini berdasarkan jumlah kunjungan web yang dilakukan oleh masing-masing sistem operasi selama satu tahun.  Dan dari  statistik yang dikumpulkan diketahui bahwa Symbian masih perkasa dan makin kuat di posisi pertama.

Adalah sebuah perusahaan bernama Alibaba Cloud Computing yang memiliki ide untuk meluncurkan OS tersebut. Aliyun, ujar mereka, dipersipkan untuk perangkat mobile berbasis komputasi awan. Sebagai langkah awal, OS ini akan disematkan pada ponsel buatan Cina, K-Touch Cloud Smart Phone W700.

Meskipun terbilang baru, OS berbasis Linux ini memiliki berbagai fitur yang didukung komputasi awan, seperti email, GPS, perangkat navigasi, dan internet search. Selain itu, dengan menggunakan OS ini, para penggunanya tak perlu repot-repot mendownload aplikasi tersebut. Alibaba sudah menyiapkan file-file tersebut dan ter-back-up di server komputasi awan Alibaba.

Namun sayang, untuk saat ini OS ini hanya memiliki opsi bahasa Cina sebagai bahasa pengantar. Meskipun begitu, Alibaba berharap OS ini bisa diterapkan tidak hanya di ponsel pintar saja, melainkan di tablet juga.
